TV fans were left ‘audibly gasping’ after a beloved sitcom returned to screens, hailing the new episodes as ‘great comfort television’.
Apple TV’s Shrinking, starring Jason Segel, returned for a second season after securing an impressive 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The series finds Jason starring as grief therapist Jimmy, who decides to controversially cross boundaries and be very direct with his patients.
It also follows senior therapist Paul, played by Star Wars star Harrison Ford, as he rekindles his relationship with his family following a Parkinson’s diagnosis.
And the show proved to be a huge hit with viewers after earning a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer, along with 88% on the fan-generated Popcorn Meter.

Raving about the production, one viewer wrote: ‘I love this show. My father had Parkinson’s and when I heard about the story that would include Ford’s character having the disease, I was worried that it would become the punchline of many jokes.

In addition to Jason and Harrison, Shrinking stars Emmy nominee Christa Miller, Emmy nominee Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley.
Brett Goldstein will appear as a special guest star in the second season.
The new season premiered on October 16th.
Jason Segel recently revealed that it’s like working with Hollywood star Harrison Ford.
The American actor, 44, revealed on Channel 10’s The Project on Monday night the very awkward interaction they shared on set after Jason arrived in a jumpsuit.
‘I’ve never worn overalls before and turned up to work [in a jumpsuit] half an hour early,” Jason explained.
‘Harrison was waiting outside my trailer because he wanted to do lines. He was looking me up and down. I was so embarrassed.
Jason said the next day he arrived on set and saw Harrison wearing a matching jumpsuit.
“It was one of the sweetest moments of my life,” he added.
