Coleen Rooney’s friends claim ‘the real reason she’s entering the I’m A Celebrity jungle is linked to her relationship with Wayne’

Coleen Rooney has reportedly agreed to sign up to I’m A Celebrity because she now finally trusts her husband Wayne.

The WAG, 38, has been with the former footballer, also 38, since he was 16, and their relationship has faced numerous accusations of cheating over its 22 years, with him already apologizing for visiting brothels and paying two prostitutes for a threesome.

However, Coleen reportedly now feels she has the confidence to travel to Australia for the ITV show because she believes her husband can ‘stay out of trouble’ and has ‘settled down’ since becoming Plymouth Argyle head coach.

Coleen is rumored to be heading into the I’m A Celebrity jungle, and it’s been said she’s bagged the ‘biggest pay deal in the show’s history’.

A source told The Sun: “He’s grown up. He has definitely changed and Coleen trusts him completely. This is one of the reasons she agreed to do the jungle.

“She knows she can go out and pursue her own work projects safe in the knowledge that Wayne won’t snap and do something stupid again.”

The source added that one of the “most common factors” for “incidents” in the past was Wayne “going off the rails” because Coleen was away or Wayne was overseas, meaning he was left to his own devices.

The source continued: “Naturally, this left Coleen a little scared, but those fears and apprehensions no longer apply. Everyone around him has noticed a complete change in his behavior over the past two or three years.

They added that the couple, who married in 2008, are more “loved than ever”, with Coleen believing Wayne is “focused” on a good husband, father and coach.

These days, Wayne already spends a lot of time away from Coleen and their four children due to his work in Devon.

And although being in a long-distance relationship has its difficulties, their split is said to have ‘underlined’ for Coleen how much her ‘trust’ in her husband of 16 years has grown.

Last year, Coleen revealed why she didn’t leave her husband Wayne after he cheated on her and insisted her marriage was no one’s business but hers.

She told The Sunday Times that her husband is “great” with their children and is the “best at bedtime”. The WAG also stated that there is still love in their relationship, adding: “If it wasn’t there, we wouldn’t be together.”

‘I think if you’re in the public eye, people look at you and think they know you, but they really don’t. We know each other,” she told the newspaper. “There is love there, and if it wasn’t there we wouldn’t still be together. So I’m not stupid.

She acknowledged that although people tell her they “would have abandoned him years ago,” they don’t know what’s going on in her marriage.

She also admitted in another interview that maintaining her marriage has sometimes been “a battle,” but insisted she “never backed down” from the challenges they faced.

She joked that she is well prepared to deal with her husband’s bad behavior due to his past infidelities.

Rebekah is on high alert and is also keen to remind ITV bosses and the show’s hosts Ant and Dec that she has trademarked the phrase Wagatha Christie.

A source told the publication: ‘Becky was absolutely anxious to learn that Coleen was doing I’m A Celeb and fears a new round of allegations about her Wag war.

“What’s more, she knows Ant and Dec will make her the butt of their jokes and will be desperate to use the Wagatha Christie line.

‘A close eye will be kept on everything broadcast on ITV.’

She will also have the full support of friend and football legend Ally McCoist on I’m A Celebrity, as they are both set to appear in the jungle.

Ally, 62, is said to have been rooting for Coleen, 38, during Wagatha Christie’s trial with Rebekah Vardy – who was expelled at the start of the 2017 series.
