Upset fans criticized the move in their comments, while others defended the star.

“Listen Pink, as a longtime fan, this is unacceptable. All that matters is what I want – for you to do for me,” said one.

“This is so disappointing Pink, why does she always do this??” a second said.

“She’s starting to get a reputation for canceling shows,” added another.

However, other fans were quick to rush to the singer’s defense: “I’d be disappointed too, but hey… calm down. She is human and needs a moment.”

“Normalize celebrities who owe the public nothing,” wrote another.

“I’ve worked with her team before and this is crushing her and it’s not an easy decision,” one said.

“People need to stop judging her intentions and know that if she had to delay, then there is a good reason. Show some grace.

Pink’s shows are known for being some of the most physically demanding, with live acrobatics in between singing and dancing.

The singer, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore Hart, brought her tour to Australia earlier this year, taking her ticket sales to 3.1 million across six tours in the country.

She marked the occasion with an Instagram post featuring framed artwork of promotional images from those shows and a second photo of Pink next to a colorful piece of indigenous art, believed to have been given to the star as a gift.

“BRAGA HUMILDE/NOT SO HUMILDE. “I had a party in my honor, thrown for me by my record label and (promoter) Michael Coppel and they said all kinds of nice things about me and it made me very uncomfortable and brought me to tears at the same time,” she captioned the post.

“So here are my feelings and some of the good things.

“My feelings: AUSTRALIA – AND NEW ZEALAND…. I love you and I love it here.

“You understand me, and you always have.

“We have grown together over the last 20 years.

“And we danced, laughed, screamed and cried together too.

“You have always been by my side, but this week I learned how great your support has been.”

Pink said she was also informed that ticket sales for her current Summer Carnival Tour were the highest of any tour by a female artist in Australia.

“Nobody else has done 20 stadium shows in Australia and New Zealand on a single tour, but we did it together on the Summer Carnival Tour,” she said.

“We sold more than 3.1 million tickets during six tours here – this is the highest career ticket sales ever achieved by an international artist in Australia and New Zealand.

“I’m not usually at a loss for words, but you really did that to me this week.”

“Your support never goes unnoticed and it is a privilege to do this with you every day.

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

“Here’s to 20 more years together 💜.”
